In their first full musical since 2019, the Manchester Thespian Society will be performing “Fractured Fairytale: The Playsical” on Friday, April 29 at 7 pm, Saturday, April 30 at 7 pm, and Sunday, May 1 at 2 pm in the High School auditorium. Tickets are $12 or $10 for seniors, students and school staff, and are available at the door or online at manchesterrevtrak.net.

“Fractured Fairytale: The Playsical” is an original adaptation by Susan Thompson of the Stinky Cheeseman book. Come watch this innovative comedy about a theater company attempting to put on a play made up of fairy tales and everything that goes wrong. 

Michelle Shrewsbury and Susan Thompson have teamed up to direct and Jared Throneberry is overseeing and producing the play. The student cast includes Evan Thompson, Steven White, Madison Katke, Natalie Zimmer, Danielle Blumenstein, Emcee Blumenstein, Amanda Hieber, Sophina Runde, Sky Dennis, Kayla Thornson, Peter Cocco, Miranda Buck, Brooke Nord, Tori Klapperich, Megan Warboy, Hayleigh Weatherholt, and Emma Taylor. 

In addition to students, many school staff members will be making appearances including Kristi Campbell, Jared Throneberry, Rachael Kennedy, Brad Bezeau, Rachel English, Sandy Fillyaw, John Koernke, Hollie Kolcz, Tracy Zigilia, Greg Brown, Cindy Hanewald, Jack Ignash, Monica Kominars, Kristen Zock, Kathryn Altherr, Irene Barnard, Regina Hopkins, Terri Punches, and Ron Tindall. 

Mark West is designing and constructing the sets, and Andy Galicki is directing lights and sound. The crew consists of Sam Adams on sound, Josi Castillo-Miller and Katelyn Simpson on make-up, Jack Coluccy and Carter Gallinat as stage managers/ropes, Emma Paxton and Kim Blumenstein on costumes, and Hayleigh Weatherholt on lights.
