River Raisin Mercantile is excited to announce its five-year-anniversary celebration scheduled for May 7 from 10am to 4pm. Join Sue for discounts, giveaways, and treats.

River Raisin Mercantile first opened on May 5, 2017. This date is significant because it would have been Sue’s grandma’s 100th birthday. Her Grandma Kaiser is her inspiration and the reason she became interested in antiques in the first place. When her grandmother passed away (at 96 years of age), Sue helped clean out her old farmhouse and an appreciation of and curiosity about things from the past grew. Listening to the stories that went with many of her antiques started a passion in Sue that continues to this day. This love drove Sue to estate sales looking for more treasures. She eventually opened two booths in antique malls, and then her own store. Sue chose Manchester because she saw a need in the community and it is the place she calls home.

Over the years, Sue has welcomed many artists to her store, as well as Melissa & Doug toys, repurposed items, new gifts, home decor pieces, and — of course — antiques!

So, come check out this magical store filled with imagination and interesting treasures. Hope to see you Saturday!
