Local scholarships awarded at MCS Honors Night

On Thursday, May 27, the Manchester Community Schools held Honors Night to commend the district’s top scholars. A total of 76 local scholarships were awarded that night to graduating seniors for their academic achievements, athletic prowess, excellence in vocational programs, and community involvement. Those scholarships are as follows:

The Barry & Peggy Allen Vocational Training Scholarships were awarded to Madison Chizek, Steven White, James Schultz, Cerine Cubberly, and Madalyn Wallace.

Adelynne Hiller, Rachel Blaine, Anthony Bargardi, and Abigail Diuble were recipients of the Manchester High School Alumni Association Scholarships.

The Jean Ahrens Hieber Memorial Scholarship was awarded to Madalyn Wallace.

Elise Tackett, Evan Thompson, and Anna Cocco received the Class of 1972 Scholarship; Jordyn Porter was awarded the Manchester Civic Club Scholarship; The Joseph Kirk Memorial Scholarship was given to Elizabeth Burch; and The Kirk Family Scholarships were presented to Hayley Ray, Maxwell Edwards, and Megan Vogel.

The Marion Voegeding Valedictorian Scholarship was earned by Elise Tackett, while the Salutatorian Scholarship sponsored by the Manchester Community Scholarship Fund was earned by Evan Thompson.

The Manchester American Legion Post 117 Scholarships were presented to Jacob Bunn, Madison Katke, and Garett Pope.

Scholarships from the Manchester Athletic Boosters were awarded to Bret Harvey, Collin Campbell, Jacob Bunn, Jared Bunn, Mia Steele, Madalyn Wallace, and Anthony Bargardi. Brady McGuigan was the recipient of the Josh McCalla Memorial Scholarship.

Community Scholarships, sponsored by Worth Repeating, were awarded to Morgan Lutton, Grace Finley, Nathan Booth, Jordyn Porter, and Adelynne Hiller.

The Diuble Family Vision Foundation awarded a variety of scholarships. The “Do Gooder“ was earned by Nathan Booth. The “Bright Side #1“ scholarships were awarded to Elise Tackett, Rachel Blaine, and Evan Thompson. The “Bright Side #2“ scholarships went to seniors Anna Cocco, Miranda Buck, Mia Steele, Adelynne Hiller, and Nathan Booth.

The Grossman Scholarship was awarded to Tyler Coleman; and the Robert J and Kathleen H Hagerman Scholarship recipient was Elise Tackett. Tackett also was awarded the Kiwanis Key Club Scholarship. 

The RD Kleinschmidt Inc. Scholarships went to McKenna Marsh, Mia Steele, Bret Harvey, and Nathan Booth; The Knights of Columbus Scholarships were awarded to Rachel Blaine, Nathan Booth, and Madalyn Wallace; and The Lions Club of Manchester Health Career Scholarship recipients were Abigail Diuble and Elizabeth Burch.

The Manchester Masons Lodge #148 Vocational Scholarships were presented to Garett Pope and Jacob Bunn; The Mary Nosbisch Memorial Scholarships were awarded to Nathan Booth, Madison Katke, and Cerine Cubberly. The Outstanding Student Scholarship was earned by Abigail Diuble.

The Roofman USA Scholarship was awarded to Anthony Bargardi; The Luther & Barbara Schaible Agricultural Scholarship to Nathan Booth; and The Luther & Barbara Schaible Health Related Scholarship to James Schultz.

Mia Steele and Maxwell Edwards earned the MSU Spartan Scholarships; The Stand Up Spirit Scholarships were awarded to Anthony Bargardi and Rachel Blaine; and the MCS Foundation Student of the Month Scholarship went to Elise Tackett.

The Tower Scholarship was awarded to Adelynne Hiller; The Faith Vlcek Memorial Scholarship to Jacob Bunn; and The Lucille Williams Memorial Scholarship to Miranda Buck.

Jared Bunn earned the Wrestling Club Scholarship and Nathan Booth was awarded the Ray Wurster Memorial Scholarship. 

Congratulations to all these students on their achievements, and thank you to all of the donors of the scholarships for your generosity and dedication to the schools and community.
