Get ready for Kidz Biz 2022 at Acorn’s Outdoor Market!

Now is the perfect time for kids to start up their own “business” and sell at Kidz Biz at Acorn’s Outdoor Market. This is a fun project to practice entrepreneur skills and keep them busy this summer! Kidz Biz at Acorn’s Outdoor Market will be Thursday, August 4, 3–6pm. E-mail farmersmarket48158@gmail.com if you’d like to participate.

Kidz Biz is an opportunity for people age 18 and younger to sell something they make over the summer. The cost is only $1 per booth to have a space at the market on August 4 to sell handmade products. No prepared food items are allowed, for examples: cookies, cake, bread, candy, cut-up fruits and vegetables, and lemonade and other beverages. What is allowed are crafts, pictures, wood items (e.g., birdhouses), homemade play dough, silly putty, fruits and vegetables (not cut up) that you’ve grown in your garden, flower bouquets, etc.

Our suggestion is that most of your items cost $5 or less. We know that most people bring $20 or less to the market, so items costing more than $5 are less likely to sell. We look forward to sparking some creative business skills in the youth of Manchester!

Acorn’s Outdoor Market, located at 455 W Main St, is every 1st Thursday, May–October.
