Obituary: Siobhan Gorman

Siobhan Ruth Gorman (December 14, 1956 – August 11, 2022)

Siobhan Ruth Gorman, 65, of Manchester, passed away August, 11, 2022.  Siobhan’s family and friends will gather Thursday, August 18, 2022, from 2pm to 4pm and 6pm to 8pm at Eineder Funeral Homes — Manchester Chapel. Her funeral service will be held on Friday, August 19, 2022, at 11am with visitation at 10am, at Emanuel United Church of Christ. Reverend Chris Kurtz will serve as celebrant.

She was born on December 14, 1956, in Detroit, Michigan, to William and Jean (Pierce) Gorman. Siobhan married Bruce Bates, on August 6, 1983, in St. Clair Shores. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Siobhan graduated from South Lake High School, Class of 1975. She earned a Master’s Degree and spent her career as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner. Siobhan spent time volunteering at Emanuel United Church of Christ and was a board member for Manchester Community Resource Center.  In her spare time she enjoyed quilting and spending time with her family.

Siobhan will be missed by her husband, Bruce Bates; sons Gareth (Sunshine) Bates, Arie (Ali) Bates, and Elijah Bates; and granddaughters Cora, Airlia, and Avira. She is preceded in death by her brother, William, and her parents.
