Worth Repeating reached a milestone after 2½ years. In September, Worth Repeating reached a goal of more than $50,000 returned to the community. Since March of 2021, the store authorized $51,896.28 in cash grants to local charities, Manchester parks, and the Manchester Community Schools. Another $1,630 in merchandise was given out during our first two and a half years of operation through partnerships with local charities.
To celebrate this milestone, Worth Repeating is holding an Over the Rainbow celebration on Saturday, October 15, 2022. There will be free cake for all customers during the day. As a special thank you, each customer can get 50% off on one item during Saturday, October 15, from 10am until 2pm.
October is a busy month at the store. On Witches Night Out, October 22, any customer who shops at the store in costume can receive 50% off one item. There will be special treats for all our customers from 5 to 8pm on Witches Night Out.
On Tuesday, October 25, we repeat our free class on creating a rug with knotted recycled T-shirts. Registration begins on Wednesday, October 5, at the store. The class is free but there is a supply fee of $5 payable at registration. The class will meet at the Historical Society from 6 until 8pm. Registration is limited to seven students.
On Halloween, the store will be handing out candy and free children’s books from 5 to 7pm at our Main Street location. At the Gazebo, the store will have a special corn pond with buried surprises.
Worth Repeating continues to look for ways to channel our profits back into the community. Grant applications are available in the store for local nonprofits.
Worth Repeating is grateful for all the volunteers, donators, and shoppers who continue to make it a success. Our next goal is to return $100,000 back to the Manchester Community. Salable donations are always welcome during open store hours: Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday from 10am to 2pm and Thursday from 2 to 6pm.
