New year birding hike in the Leonard Preserve

Downy woodpecker is one type of bird commonly found in the Leonard Preserve
Not much is better than getting some fresh air during a time of fresh starts. Start the year off by enjoying the beauty of local birds along the charming River Raisin with county naturalist Kelsey Dehring on a hike in the Leonard Preserve located just outside of the Village limits on North Union Street.
The hike will be held Saturday, January 7, from 8am to 10am. All levels of birders are welcome. Please bring your own binoculars. Space limited to 12 birders. Pre-registration required. Register by emailing dehringk@washtenaw.org.
