NOTICE OF ADOPTION
ORDINANCE No. 318

CHANGE OF USE PERMIT

AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND THE VILLAGE ZONING ORDINANCE, ORDINANCE NO. 239 OF 2001, AS IT IS INCORPORATED IN THE VILLAGE OF MANCHESTER CODE OF ORDINANCES, TITLE XV: LAND USAGE, CHAPTER 151: ZONING CODE, ADDING SECTION 151.028: PERMITS OF CHANGE OF USE OF PROPERTY

THE VILLAGE OF MANCHESTER, WASHTENAW COUNTY, MICHIGAN, HEREBY ORDAINS:

Section 1. Amendment 

That the Manchester Village Code is hereby amended by adding a section to be numbered 151.028, which reads as follows …

Section 151.028 PERMITS FOR CHANGE OF USE OF PROPERTY

No building or structure, or part thereof, shall be changed to or occupied by a use of a different class or type unless a change of use permit is first obtained for the new or different use. Buildings with more than one use must apply and hold a change of use permit for each use within the building.

Section 2. Severability
If any section, paragraph, clause, or provision of this Ordinance shall be held invalid, the invalidity of such section, paragraph, clause, or provision shall not affect any of the other provisions of this Ordinance.

Section 3. Effective Date
The Village Clerk shall cause this Ordinance, or a synopsis of this Ordinance, to be published in the manner required by law within fifteen (15) days after it has been duly adopted by the Village Council. The effective date shall be the 20th day after the date of publication.
