The Senior Market Bucks program is returning for summer 2023! A registration event will be held on Thursday, June 1,  from 3 to 5pm, the first two hours of the Manchester Farmers Market in Chi-Bro Park.

Coupon booklets will be available while supplies last. Senior Market Bucks is available to those who are Washtenaw County residents AND 60 years of age or older.

The group is also planning to hold registration events on other dates during the summer, if you’re not able to attend on this date.

There is no income requirement for the Senior Market Bucks program. Coupons can be used on Michigan-grown foods, including fruits, vegetables, eggs, cheese, yogurt, meat, poultry, fish, and honey. Foods not mentioned in the above list are not eligible. Non-food items cannot be purchased with the coupons. Senior Market Bucks are made possible by Chelsea Hospital, which received funding from a generous donor. For more information about Senior Market Bucks, contact Christian Calaguas at (734) 593-5281 or Christian.Calaguas@trinity-health.org

No change is permitted from the Senior Market Bucks. However, you may use coupons and cash together to complete your purchase. The last day to use coupons at the Manchester Farmers Market will be the Market’s final day — October 26, 2023.

For as little as $1 a month, you can keep Manchester-focused news coverage alive.
