NOTICE OF ELECTION
TO THE QUALIFIED ELECTORS OF THE PROPOSED CITY OF MANCHESTER

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT ON

TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 7, 2023

AN ELECTION WILL BE HELD FOR THE PURPOSE OF ELECTING CANDIDATES TO THE FOLLOWING OFFICES:

Six (6) city council members
One (1) city Mayor

A question as to whether to adopt the proposed City of Manchester charter will be on the ballot on November 7, 2023. If the charter is adopted, the city officials will take office.

The qualifications for the offices are as follows:

  1. The candidate shall be a resident of the City for a minimum of one year, and shall be a registered elector of the City on the last day for filing nominating petitions or appointment for such for which they are a candidate.
  2. The candidate must submit an Affidavit of Identity and city/township nonpartisan nominating petition bearing the signatures of a minimum of 15 qualified electors residing within the proposed boundaries of the City.

ALL PETITIONS MUST BE FILED AT THE MANCHESTER TOWNSHIP CLERK’S OFFICE, 275 S. Macomb St., Manchester, MI 48158, BY 4:00 PM ON TUESDAY, JULY 25, 2023.
