Kathy Elaine (Dayss) Hyatt (Nov. 3, 1950 – June 29, 2023)

Kathy Elaine Hyatt, 72, of Brooklyn, passed away peacefully with her family by her side, Thursday, June 29, 2023. Kathy’s family and friends will gather Wednesday, July 5, 2023, from 2 to 4pm and 6 to 8pm at Eineder Funeral Homes — Brooklyn Chapel. Her funeral service will be held Thursday, July 6, 2023, at 11am following the visitation from 10 to 11am. Interment to follow in Sharon Town Hall Cemetery, Manchester. Pastor Ned Bernstein will officiate.

She was born on November 3, 1950, in Saline, Michigan, to Leonard and Ruth (Widmayer) Dayss. Kathy married the late Robert Hyatt, on June 11, 1977, in Manchester. She is a graduate of Manchester High School, Class of 1968. Kathy retired after 27 years from the Columbia Township Offices. She was an avid bowler, being in several leagues. Kathy also enjoyed gardening, tending her flowers, quilting, and was quite the seamstress. She loved to travel, taking several bus trips and cruises with her daughter. Above all, Kathy loved her family and attended as many of her grandchildren’s events as possible. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Kathy is survived by her daughters, Catrina (Eric) Trumble of Clarklake, Mich., Sandi (Nelson) Curl of Horton, Mich., and Andrea Hyatt of Brooklyn, Mich.; a brother, Len Dayss; grandchildren Hunter (Tesla) Trumble of Cement City, Mich., Alyssa Trumble of Clarklake, Mich., Nathan (Bethany) Curl of Jackson, Mich., Madison (Drew) Arends of Tampa, Fla., and Kennedy Curl of Horton, Mich.; and great-grandchildren, Dean, Caroline, Olivia, and Connor. She is preceded in death by her parents, Leonard and Ruth Dayss, and her husband, Robert Hyatt.
