Billy King and Kristen Uthus at the Gazebo on July 27

Another successful gazebo concert last Thursday, featuring Billy King and Kristen Uthus, once again dodged storms and continued the 30+-year tradition of summer concerts in Wurster Park.

This Thursday, August 3, will feature Kenji and Tim, who will perform traditional dance and Americana tunes. If you don’t dance yourself, you can enjoy watching others dance … especially the kids! One of the greatest things about the Gazebo concerts is watching the young concert-goers enjoy and move to the music each week. They add a lot of fun and festivity to the event.

The Manchester District Library is sponsoring this year’s concerts and has done a fabulous job of finding local musicians to share their talents with the community. Come on down to the Gazebo at Wurster Park at 7pm on Thursday nights to support this community-oriented effort. The concerts are free, but freewill donations of any amount are appreciated to help this tradition continue in the future.

There will be no concert on August 10 due to the Manchester Community Fair, but paula d will be onstage on August 17. Don’t miss it!

For as little as $1 a month, you can keep Manchester-focused news coverage alive.
