The City of Manchester is holding a Public Hearing on Proposed Ordinance #1, a language change to the Manchester Code of Ordinances, at it's City Council meeting on December 4, 2023 at 7:00 p.m. The meeting takes place at 912 City Road, Manchester, MI 48158.

ORDINANCE No. 1

LANGUAGE CHANGE

AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND THE CITY OF MANCHESTER CODE OF ORDINANCES IN ITS ENTIRETY WITH A WORD CHANGE

THE CITY OF MANCHESTER, WASHTENAW COUNTY, MICHIGAN, HEREBY ORDAINS:

Section 1. Amendment 

That the Manchester City Code is hereby amended by changing all references to the word “Village” in the Code of Ordinances to the word “City” due to the incorporation of the Village of Manchester to the City of Manchester.

Section 2. Severability
If any section, paragraph, clause, or provision of this Ordinance shall be held invalid, the invalidity of such section, paragraph, clause, or provision shall not affect any of the other provisions of this Ordinance.

Section 3. Effective Date
The City Clerk shall cause this Ordinance, or a synopsis of this Ordinance, to be published in the manner required by law within fifteen (15) days after it has been duly adopted by the City Council. The effective date shall be the 20th day after the date of publication.
