SYNOPSIS OF MEETING MINUTES

January 9, 2024, Regular Board Meeting

Held in person at the Freedom Town Hall 

Meeting called to order at 8:03pm 

Members present: Lindemann, Bristle, Layher, Huehl, Schaible Absent: None
3 public in attendance

The board heard public comment, communications received, and treasurer, clerk, planning commission, ordinance enforcement officer, and zoning administrator’s reports. 

Items approved:

1. Minutes for December 12, 2023
2. Treasurer’s report
3. To approve up to five members from the board or planning commission to attend the MTA Zoom training on renewable energy.
4. To adopt Outdoor Burning Ordinance 53, an ordinance to regulate and control the burning of waste materials, garbage, refuse, rubbish, leaves, paper, and other combustible debris in the township of Freedom and to provide a penalty for violation thereof and its enforcement. 
5. To approve AT&T Metro Act Right-of-Way permit extension for five years.   
6. Solar Presentation will be held on Monday, March 18, at 7pm at the Freedom Town Hall.
