Obituary: Joseph Michael Maisano

Joseph Michael Maisano (January 30, 1957 - February 9, 2024)

Joseph Michael Maisano, age 67, of Manchester, MI, passed away on Friday, February 9, 2024 at Trinity Health Ann Arbor Hospital. He was born on January 30, 1957 in Dearborn, MI a son of the late Anthony Frank and Josephine Archangela (Catanese) Maisano. On October 15, 1983 he married Eileen Gladys Evilsizer at Manchester United Methodist Church and they have shared over 40 years together. 

Joe enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and riding his motorcycle. He loved spending time with his family and friends especially his grandsons.

Along with his wife Eileen, he is survived by his children, Angela (Sean) Lowery of Manchester, MI, Rob (Andrea) Blatchford of Tecumseh, MI and Amy (Justin) Roome of Milan, MI; siblings, Tony (Chris) Maisano of Farmington Heights, MI, Joanne (Glenn) Ratkewicz of Plymouth, MI and Gina (Doug) DeGhetto of Lake Orion, MI; four grandsons, Jacob and Wyatt Blatchford, Harkness Roome and Chance Lowery along with several nieces and nephews. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, James Maisano and a niece, Anna Maisano.

A memorial gathering for Joe will be held be from 1pm – 4pm on Saturday, February 24, 2024 at the Tecumseh Handler Funeral Home. Inurnment will be in Lenawee Hills Memorial Gardens in Tecumseh will be at a later.  Memorial contributions may be made to Lenawee Humane Society.
