Manchester student Mary Sangster was recently accepted into Albion College’s Carl A. Gerstacker Institute for Business and Management and the Prentiss M. Brown Honors Program.

Since 1973, the Gerstacker Institute has combined the traditional strengths of a liberal arts education with the business knowledge, skills, and experience necessary for leadership positions in today’s business environment. Members complete a curriculum including one internship and engage in professional and leadership development to graduate with a Gerstacker concentration.

Students in the Prentiss M. Brown Honors Program have access to a number of challenging and rewarding experiences — exploring, creating, learning in a different way from traditional classes. It’s a balance of academics and social support that works, with a curriculum that immerses Honors Program members in intellectual inquiry, then connects and expands their thinking through a senior Honors thesis.

Sangster is a first-year student at Albion College and is a graduate of Manchester High School.

Albion College is a private liberal arts college of approximately 1,500 students and is nationally recognized for its academic excellence in the liberal arts tradition, a learning-centered commitment, and a future-oriented perspective. Albion, Michigan, is a culturally diverse community in the south-central part of the state. The College recognizes the value of community, both on- and off-campus, and has invested resources in supporting the revitalization of the greater Albion community.
