You can help the Western-Washtenaw Area Value Express “Stuff a Bus” during the month of March!

This project will help to stock the Stockbridge Community Outreach Food Pantry and the Manchester CRC Food Pantry with essential items. Donations can be made by handing your items to the WAVE driver when riding, or left at the WAVE office, located at 12172 Jackson Rd, in Dexter.Items that can be collected on the bus include: paper products, such as Kleenex, paper towels, and toilet paper; condiments like mayonnaise, ketchup, mustard, salad dressing, and seasonings; meal kits (Hamburger Helper, Rice-a-Roni, etc.); cleaning supplies — laundry detergent, dish soap, disinfecting wipes; and more!Call dispatch at (734) 475-9494 to arrange your door-to-door ride.

Any ride from any of our four Manchester-area townships is currently free within western Washtenaw County (west of Ann Arbor). When you call to schedule your ride, you can determine the cost if you have a destination that is outside of that area.

The “Stuff a Bus” program extends through Monday, March 25, and will help stock the pantries for Easter Week!

For as little as $1 a month, you can keep Manchester-focused news coverage alive.
