Manchester Junior/Senior High School’s Students of the Month for March have been selected. Students are selected for Student of the Month awards for promoting a good way of life; for working and getting along with people; for working up to their capacity; for inspiring respect for adults, peer groups, and people in authority; for promoting good citizenship; for promoting self-control, ambition, responsibility, and self-reliance; for having desirable leadership; for promoting friendship and being personable; and for aiding and encouraging the development of others with whom they are associated.

The Manchester Jr./Sr. March students of the month are 7th Grade: Isabella Rattray; 8th Grade: Elena Houttekier; Freshman: Isabel Bucholtz; Sophomore: Emma Harris; Junior: Jake Dalton; and Senior: Lydia Bennett.

Manchester Jr./Sr. High School Senior Student of the Month, Lydia Bennett

March’s Senior Student of the Month, Lydia Bennett, competed in FFA, placing 9th in the state and 3rd in the region. She has participated in cross country all four years of high school and track for 3 ½ years. She also played football (1 year) and soccer (3 years). Lydia hopes to attend WCC, then transfer to an undetermined school later. Her hobbies include hunting, drawing, running, rock hunting, snuggling with her dog, Mordecai, and spending time with her sister, parents, and other pets.

Frank’s Place and The Village Tap have organized a benefit dinner for Lydia at Emanuel UCC Church on Tuesday, April 2, from 4pm until 7pm, with food available for dine in or carry out.
