The 2015 Masquerade Ball Dance when it was still known as Daddy Daughter Dance at Klager.

by Marsha Chartrand

It used to be known as the “Daddy and Daughter” or “Mother and Son” dance. But in the interest of including all kinds of families, the DECA fundraiser has been changed to be known as the “Loved One and Me.”

These loved ones can be grandparents, aunts, uncles, moms and dads, or just an important Special Person to our young Manchester students. It will be a fundraiser, but in order to raise funds for DECA, advisor Leslie Rollins needs to have people registered — the sooner the better!

The date is this Friday, April 26, 2024, from 6 to 8pm at the Jr/Sr High School Commons. Anyone who lives in the Manchester community, sixth grade and under (home school students are included, too!), is eligible to attend. Popular DJ Throw Yo Hands Up Entertainment will be on hand with their music and a photo booth. There will be games, a craft activity, and a goodie bag to take home, so plenty of fun for all!

It’s important to register in advance so the club members can properly plan for the number of people at the event; the link to register can be found at  https://manchester.revtrak.net/community-partnerships/#/v/loved-one-and-me.
