The Twentieth Century Club has completed their 2023–2024 program, “Let’s Eat.” Oh, did they have an interesting year! Started with a potluck then every month featured recipes and samples of delicious foods. There were pasties, German potato salad, assorted Jell-Os, and sweet cabbage. And finished with delectable sweet and savory charcuterie boards that they put together themselves. They are meeting one last time for lunch at One North in Jackson on Saturday, May 4.

The Twentieth Century Club has been in existence since 1899 and holds meetings on the 2nd Tuesday of the month September through May, 7pm–9pm. They have a theme every year in which members investigate subjects and then present information. Their next year’s program has been announced as “Our National Parks.”

The National Park Service has 20 different titles for the park units it manages, including 63 national parks. There were more than 325 million people visiting the national parks, monuments, lake shores, seashores, memorials, preserves, reserves, recreation areas, rivers, parkways, historical sites, battlefields, and scenic trails in 2023.

Dues are only $20 per year. They are always welcoming new members. Contact Diane Du Russel, PO Box 394, if you would like to join.
