On May 17, Manchester District Library (MDL) is proud to host Vietnam veterans Marine Corporal Marv Rivers (in country May 1968–September 1969) and Seabee 3rd Class Petty Officer Larry St. Antoine (in country September 1966–September 1968) for a discussion of their Vietnam experiences as described in the book We Answered the Call: Vietnam War Experience. These two Michigan veterans join us for this presentation following their recent successful run of talks in elementary, middle, and high schools in Ann Arbor, Chelsea, Willow Run, Lincoln, Belleville, Milan, and Saline. Held in the Village Room starting at 4pm, this event will be open to the public, and all ages are welcome. Questions are encouraged throughout the discussion. Books will be on hand for those who are interested.

Stop by the library or visit the event calendar for information about this and other great programs for all ages at the MDL. Questions? Call (734) 428-8045. MDL is located at 912 City Rd. Hours are Monday–Thursday, 10am–8pm; Friday, 10am–6pm; and Saturday, 10am–2pm. The most up-to-date hours and the latest news are always available on the MDL website.

For as little as $1 a month, you can keep Manchester-focused news coverage alive.
