Last Friday night, May 10, was the 17-team EJ Dome Classic and Manchester once again had some great performances! The boys took 8th place overall and the girls, who faced some adversity, took 15th overall. Grant Johnson led the way in winning the 400m in 52.23 and taking 2nd in the 300m hurdles in 41.42, which are back-to-back events, and both times were under the state meet–qualifying times! The men’s 4x200m relay took 6th place with their second-best time of the year and this relay consisted of Alexander Woods, Carson Horky, Blake Sloan, and Grant Johnson. The men’s 4x400m relay of Harper Doyle, Carson Horky, Luis Baron, and Grant Johnson ran a season best time of 3:40.28 and took a 5th-place medal.

On the women’s side, Eline Dumont took 5th in pole vault. Abbi Austin took 6th in long jump. Lucy Baran ran a huge PR in the 3200m and took 6th. Siera Jedele took 7th in the 300m hurdles. The women’s 4x100m relay of Gianna Turek, Halle Parks, Eline Dumont, and Abbi Austin ran 55.78 and took 7th.
