by Sara Swanson
On Sunday, June 2, at 2pm, Manchester Jr/Sr High School (MHS) held its graduation ceremony at the athletic complex. Principal Wendy Bridges gave the welcome address. The National Anthem was performed by the MHS band, which was conducted by graduating senior and drum major Jack Coluccy, and the MHS choir, which was conducted by band director Jared Throneberry. Class of 2024 president Carson Horky introduced the distinguished alumni speaker, Ms. Melissa Bunney. Bridges then presented salutatorian Meghan Sommerville and valedictorian Carson Horky. MHS teacher Randy Smith read graduates’ names while diplomas were presented by school board members in many cases and in a few special instances, by the graduate’s parent if they were an employee of Manchester Community Schools. Bridges gave closing remarks, followed by a closing by Carson Horky.
