The Manchester Community Fair Board, “Michigan’s Biggest Little Fair,” would like to introduce a new event, Battle of the Bands, to the fair this year. This new event will happen on Thursday night, August 8, starting at 6pm.

“The fair has had a battle of the bands in the past but not in the format we are doing this year,” commented Nathan Booth, co-chair with Angie Fuller of this year’s Battle of the Bands competition. “Everyone is welcome to participate, and there will be cash prizes for the top three places.”

Each band will have between 30 and 45 minutes to play, and will play once in their time slot. All band members must be at least 18 years old. There will be a panel of judges for the evening’s event.

No registration fee is required, but due to auditions, registration closes this coming Saturday, July 6. See the flier for details and contact information to register.

One exciting development this year is that admission to the Fair is FREE for everyone on Thursday night, due to generous community business donors.

Organizers hope to see everyone there and listening to some awesome tunes!
