WCRC: Roadwork this week

Washtenaw County Road Commission will be continuing roadwork in our area this week. In Freedom Township, Steinbach Rd between Saline Waterworks Rd and Bethel Church Rd and Esch Rd between Bethel Church Rd and Altenbrent Rd will have intermittent lane restrictions between July 22 and July 26 for gravel resurfacing. The roads will not be closed to traffic, but delays are likely due to lane restrictions. WCRC encourages motorists, emergency services and others to use an alternate route.

The road surfacing is expected to take approximately five days. However, all dates are tentative and subject to change due to weather conditions.

Local and primary soft surface roads in Sharon Township will continue to have intermittent lane restrictions for dust control through August 1.
