A donation by Horning Farms of 20 pounds of ground beef to the CRC started off their ground beef donation program in the early 2020s.

For several years now, Horning Farms has worked hard to give back to the community with their locally grown farm products. The farm recently announced they are doing a 2024 match for the Ground Beef Donation program. You can donate $6 and, in return, Horning Farms will donate one pound of ground beef to one of the five local food pantries of your choosing: Manchester Community Resource Center (CRC), Chelsea/Dexter Faith in Action, Food Gatherers, Saline Area Social Services, or St. Louis Center. To participate visit: https://www.horning-family-farms.com/…/food-pantry-face… (You can also reach the donation link by visiting https://www.horning-family-farms.com/ and typing “MEAT the need” in the search bar.)

They also announced that now through the end of the year, Horning Farms will match up to 20 pounds each for these local organizations.

Last year, in a similar donation program set-up, the CRC received 122 pounds of ground beef from Horning Farms! Help make this happen again! Make your donation today and help the CRC help your neighbors and friends.

As Horning Farms puts it, “Help ‘MEAT the Need’ in our community!”

For as little as $1 a month, you can keep Manchester-focused news coverage alive.
