The weather on the first Sunday in October was perfect … not too hot and not too cold … for Manchester’s 30th Annual C.R.O.P. Walk.

Forty-seven men, women and children from five local churches participated; several even walked with their dogs! Together we raised $5,000 in an effort to end hunger and offer life-changing relief to those in need. That’s $400 more than we raised last year; that’s compassion in action!

Twenty-five percent of the money raised ($1,250) will come back to food assistance programs here in Manchester and will be divided evenly between Manchester Area Senior Citizens, the Manchester C.R.C., and Manchester Family Services. The remaining funds will help Church World Service provide critical aid to victims of the recent hurricanes in the south as well as support other programs such as those
providing essentials and food for refugee families fleeing war-torn countries like Ukraine.

Next year, the Manchester Area C.R.O.P. Walk will be held on Sunday, October 5th. Everyone is invited to be part of this important event.
