Many of the most popular Manchester District Library programs will return on the same recurring schedule for 2025. These include:

Family Story Time | Tuesdays at 11am: Miss Abby and special guest readers will offer a variety of stories, music, and hands-on activities. Recommended for preschool ages with an adult.

Ready-to-Read Story Time | Wednesdays at 3:30pm: Join Miss Abby for a weekly story time especially for beginning readers! Everyone gets their own copy of the book to follow along and can even read aloud themselves if they want to. Recommended for beginning readers ages 5+.

Wario Wednesday | Wednesdays at 4pm: Go head-to-head against other racers in Mario Kart, face off against gaming legends in Super Smash Bros, or just come for the snacks. All ages welcome.

Cartooning 101 | Thursdays at 3:30pm: Bring your drawings to life! Learn how to make your doodles come alive in our introductory cartooning class. We’ll teach you how comics work as well as some tricks you can use to make your characters look like they’re moving. Suitable for children as young as 9, but there will be more complicated lessons for teens and adults. Contact MDL if younger ages are interested.

Stop by the library or visit the event calendar for information about this and other great programs for all ages at the Manchester District Library (MDL). MDL hours are Monday–Thursday, 10am–8pm, Friday, 10am–6pm, and Saturday, 10am–2pm. The most up-to-date hours and the latest news are always available on the MDL website.

The MDL is governed by an all-volunteer Board of Trustees. Meetings are held on the second Thursday of each month in the lower-level Village Council Chambers. Members of the public are welcome to attend. Visit manchesterlibrary.info/board-of-trustees.html for details and updates.

MDL is proud to serve the City of Manchester, Manchester Township, Bridgewater Township, and Freedom Township. Village of Clinton and Clinton Township residents are also eligible for MDL library cards and welcome to use all MDL resources.

For as little as $1 a month, you can keep Manchester-focused news coverage alive.
