A record year for Worth Repeating
submitted by Pat Sahakian, Worth Repeating
Worth Repeating finished 2024 with record sales and record grants returned to the community. In 2024, Worth Repeating returned $41,382 back to the community through 42 grants to local institutions and nonprofits.
Since the beginning of Worth Repeating in 2020, the store has returned $136,037 in community grants and more in merchandise vouchers for area agencies. This could not have happened without the efforts of 35 volunteers and the generous donations of saleable merchandise that came to the store from the Manchester community. Worth Repeating accepts donations during open store hours Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday, 10–2pm, and Thursdays, 2–6pm. Please do not leave donations at the store’s door after hours. Unfortunately we can no longer accept baby furniture, car seats, or swings due to changing safety standards and
liability issues.
The largest beneficiaries from Worth Repeating in 2024 were the Manchester Community Schools and the Manchester Community Fair. Other agencies that benefited from grants in 2024: Manchester Area Historical Society, Beta Pi Master, Dolly Parton Imagination Library local effort, Manchester Men’s Club, Manchester District Library, Manchester Chicken Broil, Manchester Fire Department, Manchester Farmer’s Market, Manchester Family Service, Manchester Coop Nursery, Manchester Lodge #148, Manchester Area Senior Citizens, Manchester Downtown Development Authority, Pistol Prodigies, Manchester Community Resource Center, and the Manchester Lions Club.
Worth Repeating looks forward to another successful year in 2025. We gladly accept donations of quality saleable merchandise and are happy to find new homes for items that no longer fit their original owners’ needs.
