One Big Thing sets community leadership meeting

A community leadership meeting has been set for January 29 to discuss how to work together to decrease isolation, improve access to resources, and support individuals in recovery for substance-use disorders with the ultimate goal of improving mental health and emotional well-being in the 5 Healthy Towns region, which includes Manchester as well as Stockbridge, Chelsea, Dexter, and Grass Lake.

Community members are welcome to join the conversation as partners from Chelsea Hospital, Michigan Medicine’s Department of Family Medicine, Washtenaw County Community Mental Health, VA Ann Arbor Healthcare System, 5 Healthy Towns Foundation, and over 25 community organizations and individuals meet to better understand community needs in the mental health area. The meeting will include lunch and is set for noon–2pm, Wednesday, January 29, at Silver Maples of Chelsea, 100 Silver Maples Dr in
