Local residents can access free tax preparation services now until April 3 through the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program, a joint initiative by Manchester Community Resource Center (CRC), United Way of Southeast Michigan, and the Accounting Aid Society.

Our dedicated CRC volunteers have received specialized IRS training as VITA intake workers, ensuring professional and accurate tax preparation support. The Scan and Go service is available to individuals and families earning less than $67,000 annually, offering professional tax help at no cost.

Interested residents should call the CRC at 734-428-7722 to schedule an appointment and receive a document checklist. Spaces are limited, so early booking is recommended.

For as little as $1 a month, you can keep Manchester-focused news coverage alive.
