The line went outside the school Friday night as enthusiastic families of all ages waited to enter and participate in Klager’s Carnival! Carnival was a fundraiser held to support the ongoing Leader In Me Initiative. Families were treated to a wide variety of fun and games and opportunities to win prizes. Some of the special features of the night for children included Plinko, a cookie walk, face painting, putt-putt, and an obstacle course. Thanks to a generous donation from the Lions Club, there was also a raffle for a giant stuffed puppy dressed like a giraffe. School board president Sandra Wiitala was also on hand to spread joy to the children in the prize room.
The Carnival also had something for the adults in the form of the Basket Raffle. Families were able to purchase raffle tickets for an opportunity to win one of 11 different baskets. A special thanks to the many generous people and businesses who made donations, including the families and staff of Klager Elementary School, Dragon Fly, Flower Garden, Frank’s, Hungry Wolf, Manchester Flower Garden, River Raisin Antiques, SteeleGrafix, and Vintage Flea.
The entire event would not have been possible without the support of a wide variety of generous helping hands. PTO was on hand to support the event with concessions. The National Honor Society students from the high school supported setup, running games, and cleanup. The Riverside STEM classes even stepped in to build a putt-putt course for the event.
Many smiling faces could be seen leaving Klager at the end of the event. Thank you to the entire Manchester community for helping make this event such an incredible success!
