In an era where digital interactions often replace in-person connections, finding opportunities to engage with our community face-to-face has never been more valuable. The Twentieth Century Club of Manchester, Mich., provides a welcoming space for individuals to connect, learn, and contribute to their town’s rich history and vibrant future.

Founded in 1899, the Twentieth Century Club has a long tradition of community involvement and personal growth. Originally formed by a group of civic-minded women, the club has evolved over the years while remaining dedicated to education, service, and engagement. Members have worked on initiatives ranging from local beautification efforts to supporting women’s education to helping community members in need and more.

Beyond its civic contributions, the club offers a unique opportunity for meaningful connections. With monthly gatherings featuring engaging discussions and guest speakers, members explore topics such as local history, architecture, and advancements in communication. This year’s theme, “Our National Parks,” delves into and celebrates how our national parks exemplify the natural beauty of our country, protect diverse ecosystems and wildlife, offer opportunities for recreation and adventure, and serve as vital spaces for education, conservation, and reconnecting with the outdoors while giving members an opportunity to share their personal experiences and adventures enjoying those beloved park systems.

Joining the Twentieth Century Club isn’t just about education and service — it’s about camaraderie. It’s about stepping away from screens, engaging in real conversations, and building friendships with people who share an interest in learning and community betterment. At a time when differences can seem magnified, it’s especially important to remember how much we all have in common. The club provides a space where members can support one another, share ideas, and enjoy the richness of face-to-face interaction.

The club meets at 7pm on the second Tuesday of each month, offering a welcoming atmosphere for those interested in learning more. Attending a meeting is a great way to experience firsthand the benefits of being part of a community-driven organization. If you’re looking for a way to stay engaged, make new friends, and contribute to something meaningful, the Twentieth Century Club is the perfect place to start.

If interested in attending a meeting, please reach out by calling or texting 734-216-0260.
