Things are moving along for the senior/community center in the lower level of City Hall, located at 912 City Rd, off the Village Room. While there are always delays in construction projects, we can report that progress is still being made.

Pat Vailliencourt, City Mayor and Manchester Area Senior Citizens Commission (MASCC) member,  explained that the-130 page Site Review Plan has been submitted to the Washtenaw County Health Department; the underground plumbing (inside and out) is complete, the floor leveling is in progress, and interior walls are going up. “We are hopeful for a May renovation completion,” said Vailliencourt.

She added, on an unrelated note, that MASCC is looking at partnering with Washtenaw County and the Community Resource Center on ways to ensure food needs continue to be met within our community.

“We are so thankful for the continued community support,” Vailliencourt concluded.
