They came — with flags, with signs, with walkers. Though it was a much smaller turnout on Saturday than the Hands-off Protest also held at the 4-corners stop in Manchester on April 5, those who participated believe it was worth their time.

One participant noted, “It’s time to step forward, make our feelings known and rally to be seen by others.” She stated  that they were greeted by honks, waves, and even undesirable gestures, but the event remained peaceful and calm.

Attendees speculated that Easter weekend and family travels or other obligations could have deterred some from attending, and reports of larger crowds at organized events in Adrian and Chelsea may have meant those were bigger draws for local residents.

Drivers may expect to see neighbors with signs again in the near future as attendees report that further rallies in Manchester are being planned.
