The 4-Corner Protectors held a gathering on Friday afternoon on the corner of M-52 and Main Street. It was a smaller turnout than their last one but participant Lee Ann King stated, “A mighty few came together despite the heat. Standing up for the future of all, you can, too.” Margaret Shaw, another participant, stated, “It was hot. Protectors came and went. Some stayed the entire time. We were strong of heart and commitment to protecting ALL people, the Earth, and democracy.”
Both encourage everyone to join in the next organized gathering at the 4-Corners on Friday, May 30, from 4pm to 6pm.
Beyond the organized protests, Shaw is supporting and encouraging all people to show up, anytime, anywhere. She took her message to Sunday’s canoe race. She stated that she received many comments of thanks and some perplexed, confused looks, but no hostility.
