Obituary: Mark Anthony Weller

(May 28, 1952 – June 29, 2025)

Mark Anthony Weller, 73, of Manchester, Mich., passed away Sunday, June 29, 2025, at Trinity Health Livonia Hospital. His family held a private Celebration of Life, Friday, July 11, 2025.

He was born on May 28, 1952, in Ypsilanti, Mich., to John and Julia (Blake) Weller. Mark married the love of his life, the late Marjorie Angus, on May 14, 1977, in Wayne, Mich. He was employed with General Motors for over 30 years, retiring in 2009. Mark enjoyed bluegrass music, and played guitar and the Appalachian dulcimer. He also had a talent for refinishing furniture, car repairs, and home maintenance. Mark loved to relax at his cabin in Saint Mary River, tracking Great Lakes ships and freighters, watching trains, and visiting museums.

Mark is survived by his children, William (Lisa Browning) Ives and Monica (David Benway) Ives; his siblings, Christine (Chester) Cassidy and Greg Weller. He is preceded in death by his parents and wife, Marjorie.
