There’s a new chapter ahead for a cherished tradition in Manchester!
The Manchester Men’s Club is proud to announce that they will be hosting the 60th Annual Manchester Canoe & Kayak Race in 2026.
“This beloved event has long been a highlight of our community calendar, and we’re honored to carry the torch forward,” said Nate Smith, Men’s Club president. “Over the past year, we partnered with the incredible Manchester FIRST Robotics to shadow and learn the ins and outs of hosting the race — ensuring that its spirit, energy, and legacy continue to thrive.
The Men’s Club extends its deepest gratitude to the Robotics team for their years of dedication and stewardship of this event, and for their generous support during this exciting transition. They also wish to thank the entire Manchester community for its unwavering support. “Your enthusiasm has kept this race alive for six decades — and we can’t wait to continue the tradition with you,” continued Nate. “We’re thrilled for what’s ahead in 2026 and already hard at work planning an unforgettable race.”
He reminds us all to stay tuned for updates as we get closer to next year — “We’ll be sharing details, surprises, and ways you can get involved!” he said, adding that details are not complete yet and will be shared in the coming weeks. So keep an eye on the Mirror, as well as the club’s Facebook page!
