The filing deadline for city council candidates passed last week and all seats have one candidate running so will be unopposed on the November 4 General Election ballot. Current mayor Pat Vailliencourt is running for reelection. Current city council members Steve Harvey, Cindy Dresch, and Amelia Woods (who was appointed in February to fill Patrick DuRussel’s seat) are all running for city council 4-year term seats, and Herb Mahony is running for a city council 2-year term seat currently held by Marty Way, who isn’t running for reelection. Manchester-area townships elected officers and trustees in 2024 so won’t again until November 2028. As of now there are no proposals appearing on the ballot in any Manchester-area precincts.
