NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING – SPECIAL LAND USE PERMIT AMENDMENT
SAND AND GRAVEL EXTRACTION OPERATION EXPANSION

Notice is hereby given that the Planning Commission will hold a public hearing on Monday, August 18, 2025, at 7:00 p.m. in the Township Hall at 10990 Clinton Road, Manchester, MI 48158 to invite public comment on an application from Gerken Materials, Inc. for approval of a Special Land Use Permit amendment to expand their sand and gravel extraction operation to include 21.247-acres of vacant land (parcels Q-17-30-100-002 & -003) located on the south side of W. Willow Road in the NE¼ of Section 30 and in the AG (General Agriculture) zoning district.

The existing Special Land Use Permit or existing Gerken Materials, Inc. extraction operation also impact the following parcels: Q-17-29-200-010 (140.82-acres), Q-17-30-100-011 (40-acres), and Q-17-30-100-013 (93.36-acres).

Written comments on the application may be mailed to: Bridgewater Township Planning Commission, 10990 Clinton Road, Manchester, MI 48158. Necessary and reasonable auxiliary aids and services will be provided to individuals with disabilities at the public hearing upon five days’ notice to the Township Clerk.

The regular Planning Commission meeting will follow closure of the hearing at the same location.
