Benefit dinner for Jeff Sangster

If you know Jeff Sangster, you most likely find yourself associating him with one of the following: soccer, dirt bikes, his love for his community, his pride in his family, or his devotion to his faith. He’s certainly never faltered in dedicating himself to what he loves. And while he has never been one to ask for much, he is always one to give anything he can.
“My dad fell in love with St. Mary’s church and the town of Manchester it resides in two decades ago, and he’s spent these past 20 years faithfully trying to do right by both,” his daughter Cassidy Forbes explained. “Remaining on the board for Manchester soccer over the past several years and acting as active president for the last five years, spending his weekends coaching high school and rec soccer teams alike, and volunteering for the middle-of-the-night, dead-of-winter adoration shifts at church because those were the least sought after are some of the few ways he has loved giving back to the town and his church. Now, in an unprecedented turn of events, we’re asking for the same to be done on his behalf.”
Earlier this year, our family received the news that my dad is facing a serious cancer diagnosis, requiring months of aggressive treatment and recovery. We want to ensure he can focus fully on healing, and not the bills that come hand in hand with the necessary medical care and time off of work. In light of this, your presence and support at this fundraiser would mean the world to our family. Thank you in advance for your time, care, and generosity. And cheers to celebrating a man who’s given so much to his community, family, and friends. Please join us on August 22, from 5 to 7pm, for a benefit coney night at the St. Mary’s Parish Center, 110 Madison St, and consider volunteering to help at the event if you are able. It is a free will offering ticket and all you can eat, hosted by St. Mary’s with the Manchester Knights of Columbus.
