Rescheduled ice cream workshop with Chef Keegan

submitted by Quintessa Gallinat, Manchester District Library
Manchester District Library (MDL) will host Chef Keegan of The Lakehouse Bakery on Thursday, August 21, at 6pm, in the City Room for a workshop all about ice cream. Get the scoop on homemade ice cream and make a batch of simple, classic vanilla while exploring the delicious world of frozen desserts. Learn about the difference between gelato, sorbet, sherbet, and more; home tools and equipment from hand-crank to high-tech; and tips for ingredients, mix-ins, flavorings, and achieving the perfect creamy texture.
Taste the freshly made vanilla ice cream and leave with the knowledge and confidence to make your own at home. Recommended for ages 16+, but all ages are welcome. This event is offered free of charge; materials provided. Advance registration is requested. Sign up at the circulation desk, by phone at 734-428-8045, or use our online registration form.
