New signage for the front and refurbishing of the old Peoples Bank clock glass has made ready the bank building at 135 E Main for a “soft opening” for Bank Michigan on Monday morning. Rick Northrup, CEO of Bank Michigan, was on the scene from his office in Onsted, and he shared that once the soft open is completed there will be a grand opening celebration in early October. Cindy Clark, branch manager for the Manchester office, pledged that “THE CLOCK WILL WORK!” to cheers from the City Council during a meeting on September 2.
