New Girl Scout Troops are starting in Manchester!
Girl Scouts is not only about cookies and campfires. It’s about building courage, confidence, leadership, and a lifelong sisterhood in the next generation of girls. From the first troop meeting, girls gain skills that prepare them to thrive in school, in their careers, and in their communities.
Behind every one of these Girl Scouts is a volunteer who makes this magic happen. Whether it’s leading a troop, helping with badge and patch work, or lending a hand at camp, volunteers are the heart of Girl Scouting. They are the mentors, guides, and champions who empower girls to try new things, grow their confidence, and discover how to become the leaders they are meant to be. That volunteer could be you!
There is a new kindergarten and 1st-grade Daisy troop meeting every other Tuesday in Manchester. For more information about volunteering with this troop or others forming, reach out to Avery Sugarbaker, Membership Manager, at asugarbaker@gshom.org or fill out the form at https://www.gshom.org/en/discover/ann-arbor.html.
Volunteering with Girl Scouts is about more than giving your time to an organization. It also allows you to gain something meaningful in return. Many volunteers say they’ve built lasting friendships and learned new skills of their own while watching girls accomplish things they never thought possible.
No matter your schedule or interests, there’s a place for you in Girl Scouts. Whether you have a few hours, a month, or a year, your support will make a direct impact on the lives of local girls and help shape the future of our community.
