NOTICE OF ELECTION

To the qualified electors of:
FREEDOM TOWNSHIP

Notice is hereby given that a general election will be held on

TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 4, 2025
Polls are open:
7:00 A.M. to 8:00 P.M.

At the following location: 

Freedom Township Hall, 

11508 E. Pleasant Lake Rd, Manchester, MI 48158

For the purposes to vote YES or NO on the following proposals:

Washtenaw Intermediate School District
Career and Technical Education Proposal

Shall Washtenaw Intermediate School District, Michigan, come under sections 681 to 690 of the Revised School Code, as amended, and establish an area career and technical education program, which is designed to encourage the operation of area career and technical education programs, if the annual property tax levied for the purpose is limited to 1 mill ($1.00 on each $1,000 of taxable valuation) for a period of 10 years, 2026 to 2035, inclusive; the estimate of the revenue the intermediate school district will collect if the millage is approved and levied in 2026 is approximately $25,020,000 from local property taxes authorized herein?

Full text of the ballot may be obtained at the Freedom Township Office located at 11508 Pleasant Lake Road, Manchester, MI 48158.  Sample ballots can also be found at www.mi.gov/vote.

Absentee ballots are available for all elections; registered voters may contact the local clerk to obtain an application for an absent voter ballot or apply online at Michigan Online Absent Voter Ballot Application (state.mi.us)

To comply with the Help America Vote Act (HAVA), voting instructions will be available in audio format and in Braille. Arrangements for obtaining the instructions in these alternative formats can be made by contacting the township clerk in advance of the election. All polling locations are accessible for voters with disabilities.
