Trunk-or-Treat: St. Johns Lutheran Church, 8805 Austin Rd, Bridgewater. St. Johns is holding a trunk-or-treat on October 25 at 3pm. Wear your best costume and bring your favorite Halloween cuties for fun, fellowship, and hot dogs and s’mores by the bonfire. All are welcome to attend!

Trunk-or-Treat: Zion Lutheran Church Chelsea — Manchester, 3050 S Fletcher Rd. Zion Church will be holding a potluck and silent auction fundraiser on Sunday, October 26, after their 10:15am service. After the potluck there will be a trunk-or-treat for the kids. Everyone is invited.

Trunk-or-Treat: River Raisin Distillery, 480 W Main St., will be hosting a trunk-or-treat for the whole community from 1 to 3pm on Sunday, October 26, on Elton Street located off of W Main St. This will be a free, fun, and safe event. Trunk-or-Treat: Community Bible Church, 8400 Sharon Hollow Rd., is holding a trunk-or-treat on Wednesday, October 29, from 5 to 6pm. All are welcome! If you would like to have a car or truck in the mix, please be in the parking lot by 4:45pm, ready to go by 5pm. The church will provide a meal for the people with a vehicle decorated, at 6pm, at no cost.

Trunk-or-Treat: Klager/MECC/PTO 405 Ann Arbor St. is holding a trunk-or-treat (for their students) on October 30 from 5:30pm to 6:30pm in the pick-up/drop-off loop.

Trail of Candy and Haunted Trail: SRSLY Manchester, on the cross-country trail behind the high school. On October 30 from 6:30pm to 7:30pm (weather permitting), SRSLY will have a haunted trail recommended for ages 11 and up. Parking is behind the high school in the lot next to practice field. The admission is $5, which includes a cup of cider and a doughnut after the trail.

Trick-or-Treating in the City: As in past years, trick-or-treating in the City is scheduled to take place from 5 to 7pm.

Caramel Apples, Pumpkin Bowling, and more in Wurster Park: Stop by the gazebo in Wurster Park between 5 and 7pm for a free, freshly dipped caramel apple. Kids can take a turn bowling with a pumpkin for the chance to win prizes at the Lion’s Club’s trailer. Friends of the Library will be there giving out free books and treats! (Note: the Manchester District Library will close at 5pm on Halloween as library staff will assist with Wurster Park activities from 5pm to 7pm.)

Halloween Dinner & a Movie: The Manchester Senior Citizens Council, Senior Center, 912 City Rd, is hosting a dinner at 7pm and a showing of The Nightmare Before Christmas at 8pm. Kids under 12 are free; kids 12+ and adults are $12. The dinner menu consists of sloppy joes, mac and cheese, salad, pumpkin corn parfait, and punch. RSVP required by October 24. 10-24-25 Editor’s note: Originally the SRSLY trail event was planned to include a non-scary candy trail for younger children from 6:30pm to 7:30pm but that is no longer occurring. The article has been changed to reflect this.
