On October 19, the Young Disciples class at Manchester United Methodist Church spent their Sunday School hour potting plants as a way to say thank you to the teachers and staff of Manchester Community Schools. The United Women in Faith brought the supplies and assisted as the children carefully prepared each plant and added messages of appreciation.

This project was a simple way for our young people to learn about kindness and service, and to share appreciation with those who work so hard to support students and families in Manchester.

On Wednesday, October 22, the potted plants were delivered to each of the Manchester schools — a small gesture of gratitude from our church to those who serve the community every day.
