BRIDGEWATER TOWNSHIP, WASHTENAW COUNTY, MICHIGAN

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING FOR ZONING ORDINANCE AMENDMENTS 

SOLAR ENERGY FACILITIES AND DEVICES

Notice is hereby given that the Bridgewater Township Planning Commission will hold a public hearing on Monday, November 17, 2025, at 7:00 p.m. in the Township Hall (10990 Clinton Road, Manchester, MI 48158) for the purpose of receiving comments on a proposal to amend Article 11.0 (Special Development Procedures) and Article 19.0 (Definitions) of the Bridgewater Township Zoning Ordinance No. 67 to insert a new Section 11.39 to establish a “workable ordinance,” as described in the Michigan Public Service Commission’s adopted rules for implementation of Michigan Public Act 233 of 2023 (MCL460.1221-1232), which provides for comprehensive local regulation of new solar energy facilities and devices in the Township, and to add new solar energy-related definitions.

Necessary and reasonable auxiliary aids and services will be provided to individuals with disabilities at the public hearing upon five days’ notice to the Township Clerk.
