NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING — CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT AMENDMENT

Notice is hereby given that the Planning Commission will hold a public hearing during a special meeting on Thursday, November 13, 2025, at 7:30 p.m. in the Freedom Township Hall (11508 Pleasant Lake Road) to invite public comment on an application to amend the previously approved Conditional Use Permit 2023-03-07 and site plan for the New Leaf wholesale plant nursery operation on parcel #N-14-35-400-002 at 9587 Saline-Waterworks Road in the AR (Agriculture-Resource) zoning district: (a) to remove restrictions on use of greenhouse circulation fans; (b) to extend Saturday hours to 3:00 p.m.; (c) to expand growing areas and add structures, guest parking, fencing, and other site improvements per the revised site plan; (d) to allow up to four (4) educational tours per month by appointment; (e) to allow up to five (5) weekend open house direct-to-consumer sales events per year, limited to Friday-Saturday hours and a maximum of 25 visitors per hour by appointment; and (f) to confirm provisions for prescribed burns on land converted to prairie habitat.
