In December, the Manchester Community Resource Center received 650 pounds of food and non-food essentials this holiday season from Chelsea Proving Grounds management and union staff. Keith organized the drive and, along with Andy and Ellis, delivered an impressive haul of everyday necessities, including condiments, meal kits, paper towels, and laundry soap—items that help families stretch their budgets and maintain their households.
This was the first year Chelsea Proving Grounds held a food drive for CRC, and the timing couldn’t have been better. The donation has stocked our shelves and will help us continue serving Manchester and surrounding rural townships throughout the winter months ahead. We are incredibly grateful to Keith, Andy, Ellis, and everyone at Chelsea Proving Grounds who contributed to this effort. Now that they have found us, we hope this is the beginning of a lasting partnership that will benefit our community for years to come.
The Manchester Community Resource Center serves residents of Manchester and surrounding townships with food assistance, emergency financial help, senior grocery delivery, and benefits navigation. The pantry is open Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 9am to 4pm, and Tuesdays from noon to 7pm.
